ldminfod -- output login sessions and available locales
SYNOPSIS
ldminfod
DESCRIPTION
ldminfod will output the login sessions and locales available. it is usually run from an inetd(8) instance. it is used by ldm(1) to
remotely determine available login and locale settings.
EXAMPLE
add the following lines to /etc/inetd.conf(5):
9571 stream tcp nowait nobody /usr/sbin/tcpd /usr/sbin/ldminfod

jetpipe will bind a printer device to a given portnumber so the printer can be accessed through the JetDirect protocol from a remote

The above commandline will bind the USB printer on /dev/usblp0 to port 9100 where it can be acessed through the JetDirect protocol from a

I'm trying to set up swat on my linux box at home and when i read the man pages on it it says that i have to edit a file called inetd.conf but i did a search like
find / -name inetd.conf
but it only comes up with this.

modify my inetd.conf file from
ftp stream tcp6 nowait root /usr/sbin/in.ftpd in.ftpd
to
ftp stream tcp6 nowait root /usr/local/bin/tcpd /usr/sbin/in.ftpd -l
created /etc/hosts.allow file
and

According to Sun documentation (Ldoms 1.1 Administration Guide), To access the ldm(1M) man page, add the directory path /opt/SUNWldm/man to the variable $MANPATH. When I add the lines:
MANPATH=$MANPATH:/opt/SUNWldm/man
export MANPATH

But still it created the file with permission (640):
