I have written below script which monitors a log file and if log file is not writting for 2 intervels then admin should be notified.

Dear!
I've 2 scripts backup Oracle database in crontab environment, however, I found they did not execute. The cron is here
$ crontab -l
30 2 * * 0 sh /cloudbck/level0/level0.sh
19 3 * * * sh /cloudbck/level1/level1.sh

i want to kill a tcp connection by killing its pid
with netstat -an i got the tcp ip connection on port 5914
but when i type ps -a or ps-e there is not such process running on port 5914
is it possible that because i do not log on with proper user account i can not see that process running? (30 Replies)
