snd_ad1816 -- Analog Devices AD1816 ISA bridge device driver
SYNOPSIS
To compile this driver into the kernel, place the following lines in your kernel configuration file:
device sound
device snd_ad1816
Alternatively, to load the driver as a module at boot time, place the following line in loader.conf(5):
snd_ad1816_load="YES"
Non-PnP cards require the following lines in device.hints(5):
hint.pcm.0.at="isa"
hint.pcm.0.irq="10"
hint.pcm.0.drq="1"
hint.pcm.0.flags="0x0"
DESCRIPTION
The snd_ad1816 bridge driver allows the generic audio driver sound(4) to attach to the AD1816 sound card.
HARDWARE
The snd_ad1816 driver supports the following sound cards:
o Analog Devices AD1816

I tried to use the sndconfig tool to set up my sound card. When it does the probe it finds an acer pci sound card, but I have a trident. This wouldn't bother me so much if it worked. Is there a way to configure my sound card by picking it off a list of cards?

i installed my sound drivers (which are onboard) with the following lines in my kernel
device pcm
options PNPBIOS
then cd /dev
sh MAKEDEV snd0
output from cat /dev/sndstat show the devicedriver (correct one)

I have a problem with my integrated sound card AC97 on i815 and my version of FreeBSD is 4.5.I know that there is a driver for it called ich.c.gz,but the site containing it is unavaliable now.And is there another driver or some other ideas ?

Hi I have a new TP installed with RHEL 6.0, sound not working in this.
I tried to upgrade the kernel to 2.6.32-279.el6.i686 and also 2.6.32-279.19.1.el6.i686 but getting kernel panic with these kernels.
