In the awk I am trying to subtract the difference $3-$2 of each matching $4 before the first _ (underscore) and print that value in $13.

Many times over the years, I've noticed that if I accidentally type 'cd //', my bash prompt will display that I am in // instead of /. If I do an ls command, it looks just like I'm in /. I have a 60 MB file which I periodically need to move from 1 server to another, however both the machines are on different networks and require different VPN access. So right now, I ftp the file locally from one, then switch VPN and ftp it back up. The whole process is easy 1.5 hrs.
