xfce4-screenshooter - application to take screenshots
DESCRIPTION
Usage:
xfce4-screenshooter [OPTION...]
Help Options:
-h, --help
Show help options
--help-all
Show all help options
--help-gtk
Show GTK+ Options
Application Options:
-s, --save
Directory where the screenshot will be saved
-u, --upload
Host the screenshot on ZimageZ, a free online image hosting service
-c, --clipboard
Copy the screenshot to the clipboard
-o, --open
Application to open the screenshot
-d, --delay
Delay in seconds before taking the screenshot
-m, --mouse
Display the mouse on the screenshot
-f, --fullscreen
Take a screenshot of the entire screen
-r, --region
Select a region to be captured by clicking a point of the screen without releasing the mouse button, dragging your mouse to the
other corner of the region, and releasing the mouse button.
-w, --window
Take a screenshot of the active window
-V, --version
Version information

gnome-screenshot [ -w ] [ -a ] [ -b ] [ -B ] [ -d SECONDS ] [ -e EFFECT ] [ -i ] [ --display DISPLAY ]
DESCRIPTION
gnome-screenshot is a GNOME utility for taking screenshots of the entire screen, a window or an user-defined area of the screen, with
optional beautifying border effects.
OPTIONS -w, --window
Grab the current active window instead of the entire screen.
-a, --area
Grab an area of the screen instead of the entire screen.
-b, --include-border
Include the window border within the screenshot.
-B, --remove-border
Remove the window border from the screenshot.
-d, --delay=SECONDS,
Take the screenshot after the specified delay [in seconds].
-e, --effect=EFFECT,
Add an effect to the outside of the screenshot border. EFFECT can be ``shadow'' (adding drop shadow), ``border'' (adding rectangu-
lar space around the screenshot) or ``none'' (no effect). Default is ``none''.
-i, --interactive
Interactively set options in a dialog.
--display=DISPLAY
X display to use.
-?, -h, --help
Show a summary of the available options.
In addition, the usual GTK+ and GNOME command line options apply. See the output of --help for details.

Since i have never seen one of these systems, i am just curious of how it looks. Btw if unix is not a GUI then is it possible to take a screenshots (4 Replies)
I got Gentoo installed with only a few minor problems, but those are the worse right? :p Anyway, I can boot into a terminal and could could fine into TWM (yuck).
So I emerged XFCE4 by doing this:
use="-gnome -kde" emerge xfce

Suppose I want to take a screenshot of a website say Google and save that image. How should I do it?
I tried wget with this but of no help. It just makes a particular file in jpeg format but on opening the same it says corrupted. Although I can edit the jpeg as an HTML file.
