NAME
tk707 - a drum machine SYNOPSIS
tk707 [options] DESCRIPTION
tk707 emulates the Roland TR-707 Rhythm Composer. It can be used with external MIDI hardware, a capable sound card or Timidity plus any sound card supported by ALSA. Output can also be saved to a file. The complete documentation in info and html formats are available in tk707.info and tk707.html, respectively. EXAMPLES
tk707 -l tk707 -p 64:0 tk707 -p 128:0 -display eve.imag.fr:0.0 OPTIONS
-l List the available ALSA sound output ports. -p port Use this port -small | -medium | -normalsize Set the size of the window, since some screens are too small for the whole window. -display Display to use (example: myhost:0.0). -use Window id Id of window in which to embed application. The Window id can be obtained e.g. by using xwininfo(1). -geometry Initial geometry for window -name Name to use for application. -sync Use synchronous mode for display server. -visual Visual for main window. -colormap Colormap for main window. -h | -help Print very short help. xev - print contents of X events SYNOPSIS
xev [-display displayname] [-geometry geom] [-bw pixels] [-bs {NotUseful,WhenMapped,Always}] [-id windowid] [-s] [-name string] [-rv] DESCRIPTION
Xev creates a window and then asks the X server to send it events whenever anything happens to the window (such as being moved, resized, typed in, clicked in, etc.). You can also attach it to an existing window. It is useful for seeing what causes events to occur and to display the information that they contain. OPTIONS
-display display This option specifies the X server to contact. -geometry geom This option specifies the size and/or location of the window. -bw pixels This option specifies the border width for the window. -bs {NotUseful,WhenMapped,Always} This option specifies what kind of backing store to give the window. The default is NotUseful. -id windowid This option specifies that the window with the given id should be monitored, instead of creating a new window. -s This option specifies that save-unders should be enabled on the window. -name string This option specifies the name to assign to the created window. -rv This option specifies that the window should be in reverse video. Qtractor running in Puppy 4 Dingo

Hi All ,anyone trying to audit Qtractor and having playback sound (jack or etc.)problems can grab a copy Puppy 4 Dingo LiveCD ,Qtractor 0.2.0 and timidity 2.13.0 install these and use timidity as the audio server.Not what I would call the most efficient installation but it works if everything else...
