vsftp is not working only when i ftp from windows server

Hello Gurus,

Naif is implemented for only for port 21 for few windows servers.
I have made my linux 5.1 as my FTP server.

After installing vsftpd i could ftp from other linux server.
linux to linux (ftp server)

But same when i ftp from other windows server which only port 21 is enabled.
I am geting the error as shown below. Its not even ptompting for password

windows -> linux (ftp server)
530 Please login with USER and PASS.

Note: This i am facing only wen i ftp from windows only

Is ter something firewall is blocking it?

Please advice on it.

A firewall wouldn't tell you "Please login with USER and PASS", a firewall would just block it. I'd suggest doing what it says -- using a username, and a password. What software are you trying to login with?

Resolved.

Thanks for ur point of view.

There were some naif/firewall issue which blocks ftp authentication ( Login prompt is comming, but with password auth it fails) other than 10.80.158 segment.

So there is nothing to do with destination server/config files
