Unix Network Routes

I would really appreciate some help with HP UX's Network Routes.

Basically, what I want to do is, I would want a system with global ip (eg: 202.144.138.122) to ping/access my HP-UX server which is with private IP address (192.168.1.23). I have all the routers/switches in between properly route traffic between global and private ips, but I can't understand what to insert into my network route table in HP-UX system via SAM.

When i ping 192.168.1.23 from 202.144.138.122, there is no response.. But when I plug in a windows system with the ip 192.168.1.23, it can be accessed via the 202.xxx.xxx.xxx ip. So, the problem is with the Unix route.

What values do I have to insert into the network route on my HP - UX machine(192.168.1.23)

The gateway for HP-UX is 192.168.1.1, and the gateway for global ip is (202.144.138.137).

Thank you.
