updating ssa

I am in the process of updating ssa adapters, drives and enclosures and wanted to know if there are any caveats that anyone would like to share. The documentation is not very clear on the ordering of the updates.

Any tips would be appreciated.

The only caveat I'd know off off-hand is: never put more than three consecutive dummies in a loop. That is, if you can't place at least two disks in a specific part of the enclosure don't use that part. But this is nothing new and you only might run into such considerations if exchanging (many) smaller disks for (fewer) bigger ones.
