HI all,

I have changed chldev command for just one hitachi lun and I moved data from EMC to hitachi

Code:

extendvg VolumeGroupName hdisk_new
migratepv hdisk_bad hdisk_new
reducevg -d VolumeGroupName hdisk_EMC

that vg has only one EMC_lun

now i have more than one lun in one vg. i want to do same lun movement?

can i do same thing? i mean can i add 3 hitachi disk to vg then migratepv?
is it possible discreate 3 EMC disk in same vg?
or should i create a new vg and mountpoint to copy data?

i have 4 HITACHI LUN with same sizet at the below EMC lun? what is the proper way to move data? migratepv can be used or not?

Hi,

yes - you can migrate one to one or one to many - whatever you choose - the new luns do not even need to have the same size if you migrate from one to many.
