What do you mean by automatically - via SUMA online? Do you read the changes you apply and known problems before you "automatically" install them?
If there is no need for the latest patch, I would not install it. As long as you are in support and everything is running fine, I'd stay. Else you can use SUMA or manual patching.

I'm just trying to identify a solution where you can group all the approved patches and push then to the nodes from one Management node, So that all the Patches gets updated on the Nodes.

The Mgmt node should be able to give us the status of patch's on each of its node.

I have not seen this software yet, but in the NIM A-Z Redbook is a part about automatic provisioning via TPM, Tivoli Provisioning Manager. Maybe this is worth taking a look:

Chapter 4.10 is about NIM and SUMA which might be what you are looking for.

I don't think this would be a good idea: as zaxxon said, you patch because you need to, not because you can. If you have several systems all with their own software installed, chances are that all these packages have different OS requirements. The one might prescribe TL4 while the other might want TL5, etc.. A system requiring TL4 doesn't have to work with TL5 and vice versa, so the need for applying patches will be individual for each system.

My two cents.

Bladelogic for automation of patching in AIX

In Bladelogic the AIX patching can be done. As suggested in previous friends post, each server may have its own TL/ML. In this tool the TL/ML is selected according to the servers level and then analysis,Downloading and patching of the Server is done.
It has its own advantage and disadvantage
Pros
1. Downloads the patches complete, also with some missing patches that dont come under normal TL/ML (What we do using SUMA)
2. The patches are moved into the Server before patching
3. So even something goes with errors it can be rectified or trouble shooted

It has more Pros than Cons...
