FTP file permissions

Hi all,
I am using ftp command to transfer a file from one AIX5.3 box to different box with the same OS level. Is there a way I could change the permissions on the file once its transferred, as I am automating the process but the file permissions on the target does not allow other users to access the file.

Source:
-rwxrwxrwx 1 db2admin dbadmin 9 Jun 11 13:43 CM.out

Target :
-rw-r----- 1 db2inst1 db2admin 9 Jun 11 13:51 CM.out

Thanks all,
Sam.

You can set the umask value for the FTP user in the target server with required permission.

I can use the site command in ftp to change the permissions.
ftp> site chmod 777 some_file
