Macbook Pro, OSX 10.12.2, default bash terminal.
NOTE: '/tmp/noise.raw' does NOT exist and that the error must be trapped somewhere but the __system__ one is not trapped.
However jlliagre's post makes sense because I thought it might have generated a syntax error the way I have written it, but it didn't.
i need to get rid of lilo's splash screen.
i've heard that you can edit your /etc/lilo.conf and add this line:
<b>append="splash=0"</b>
anyway, i did that and i still have a splash screen. any idea why that didn't work, or what is another way to disable the splash screen?
okay,

Hi everyone
Just a couple of quick questions if I may.
Can I ask what is meant by "flavours"?? I've come across it many times in the forums and I'm guessing that it is a variery of either Linux or UNIX (I know nil about either) which has developed but not really got a clue.

Example script:
find mydir -type f -exec echo {}>aaa \; -exec echo {}>bbb \;The two paths go the the bbb file, while there should be one of them on each file. How should I do it to get it working? (2 Replies)

Config::Model::CursesUI - Curses interface to edit config data
SYNOPSIS
use Config::Model ;
use Config::Model::CursesUI ;
my $model = Config::Model -> new ;
my $inst = $model->instance (root_class_name => 'XXX',
instance_name => 'yyy');
# create dialog
my $dialog = Config::Model::CursesUI-> new
(
experience => 'beginner', # or 'advanced'
) ;
# start never returns
$dialog->start($model) ;
DESCRIPTION
This class provides a Curses::UI interface to configuration data managed by Config::Model.
IMPORTANT: Once the CursesUI object is created, STDOUT and STDERR are managed by the Curses interface, so all print and warn will not work
as expected.
CONSTRUCTOR
The constructor accepts the following parameters:
experience
Specifies the experience level of the user (default: "beginner"). The experience can be "master advanced beginner".
load
Subroutine ref containing the code to load the configuration data from the configuration files. This may overrides loading mechanism
specified in the model with Config::Model::AutoRead. This sub is called without any arguments.
store
Subroutine ref containing the code to store the configuration data in the configuration files. This may overrides writing mechanism
specified in the model with Config::Model::AutoRead. This sub is called without any arguments.
