How can i modify it, so that the output filename contains the date from the log line "Started at"?
The second output file in this case might be called output.log_10Sep13_10:30:04 for example to signify the date it was started on.

1) I wrote a script and gave the desired permissions using "chmod 755 scriptname". Now if i edit the script file, why do i need to set the permission again? Didn't i set the permission attribute.. or if i edit the file, does the inode number of file changes?

Procedural style

Set a date according to the ISO 8601 standard - using weeks and day offsets rather than specific dates.
PARAMETERS
o $object
-Procedural style only: A DateTime object returned by date_create(3). The function modifies this object.

- Year of the date.
