adding LUN to linux server
Hi All,
I am new for this blog and this is my first Query on this blog. I would like to dael with graet masters on linux.
Here we go,
After storage people created the LUN, How to add that LUN to Linux server. (Make that LUN visibility on linux server.) ?
How to view the LUN information ?

Am trying to differentiate between the local disks and LUN's presented from SAN onto the server. Have Tried fdisk -l, however I quite cudn't differentiate the local disks from SAN presented LUN's.

I have a SAN LUN of 550 GB created as an ext3 partition of the entire lun and need to make the lun and partition larger... 600 GB
# fdisk -l /dev/sdj
Disk /dev/sdj: 590.5 GB, 590558003200 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 71797 cylinders

Actually, currently on my Solaris box, I've a LUN (5TB space) from a EMC storage which is working fine, and a partition with ZFS filesystem is created for that LUN. as further you'll see in the logs, the "c4t6006016053802E00E6A9196B6506E211d0s2" is the current configured LUN in the... (4 Replies)

Hi,
I am trying to setup multipathing (using DM multipath) for a redhat cluster setup ...all setup is done but issue is :
node 1 shows the shared iscsi lun as sdc
node 2 shows the same as sdg (changes on reboots)

We have IBM storwize v7000 storage. I have created thin provisioned LUN and attached it to my server(dell r910, Centos 7).

I am not familiar with the linux, but I was asked to create a file system on a LUN from the NetApp that was mapped to the linux server.
The server is runing:

I have NetApp LUN that was presented to a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.7 (Tikanga) machine.
But this LUN has already data, because it was being used on another server.
I can see the new LUN when running fdisk:

SYNOPSIS
blaze-make [-cpqrIFPTV] [-b directory] [-d directory]
blaze-make -h|-v
DESCRIPTION
blaze-make reads the BlazeBlogger repository, and generates a complete directory tree of static pages, including blog posts, single pages,
monthly and yearly archives, tags, and even an RSS feed.
OPTIONS
-b directory, --blogdir directory
Allows you to specify a directory in which the BlazeBlogger repository is placed. The default option is a current working directory.
-d directory, --destdir directory
Allows you to specify a directory in which the generated blog is to be placed. The default option is a current working directory.
-c, --no-css
Disables creating a style sheet.
-I, --no-index
Disables creating the index page.
-p, --no-posts
Disables creating blog posts.
