pludi is right it is in the /boot and it is named as vmlinuz-xx-xx depending on your platform.
You can patch using rpm -Ivh <kernel package> just make sure you get the kernel package at your distributor / vendor.
Please note that I use the rpm -ivh command to make sure that you will install new kernel not update so that you can just remove it if the kernel you installed is not stable for your system.

DESCRIPTION
new-kernel-pkg is a tool used in packaging to automate the installation of a new kernel, including the creation of an initial ram filesys-

OPTIONS
-v Be verbose.
--mkinitrd
Create a new initial ram filesystem image.
--rminitrd
Remove an initial ram filesystem image.
--dracut
When creating a new initial ram filesystem image, use dracut(8) rather than mkinitrd(8). Used in conjunction with --mkinitrd .
--initrdfile=initrd-image
Use the specified file as the initial ram filesystem image.
--depmod
Create modules.dep and related files.
--rmmoddep
