lpinfo - show available devices or drivers
SYNOPSIS
lpinfo [ -E ] [ -l ] [ -m ] [ -v ]
DESCRIPTION
lpinfo lists the available devices or drivers known to the CUPS server. One of the -m or -v options must be specified to get any output:
-E
Forces encryption when connecting to the server.
-l
Shows a "long" listing of devices or drivers.
-m
Shows the available printer drivers on the system.
-v
Shows the available printer devices on the system.
COMPATIBILITY
The lpinfo command is unique to CUPS.

DESCRIPTION
lpinfo lists the available devices or drivers known to the CUPS server. The first form (-m) lists the available drivers, while the second
form (-v) lists the available devices.
OPTIONS
lpinfo accepts the following options:
-E
Forces encryption when connecting to the server.
-U username
Sets the username to use when connecting to the server.
-h server[:port]
Selects an alternate server.
-l
Shows a "long" listing of devices or drivers.
--device-id device-id-string
Specifies the IEEE-1284 device ID to match when listing drivers with the -m option.
--exclude-schemes scheme-list
Specifies a comma-separated list of device or PPD schemes that should be excluded from the results. Static PPD files use the "file"
scheme.
--include-schemes scheme-list
Specifies a comma-separated list of device or PPD schemes that should be included in the results. Static PPD files use the "file"
scheme.
--language locale
Specifies the language to match when listing drivers with the -m option.
--make-and-model name
Specifies the make and model to match when listing drivers with the -m option.
--product name
Specifies the product to match when listing drivers with the -m option.
--timeout seconds
Specifies the timeout when listing devices with the -v option.

Hello.
I want to know how to start CDE on AIX, to export the console under reflection.
What commands are necesary to run on AIX to start CDE and after start It export the console using Reflection X.
Someboy know how to do that.

i am attempting to recognize a network printer on my red hat box. i know the IP, i have procured the correct driver, however, CUPS (nor the add printer utility) doesn't recognize the driver nor the printer type. i am assuming this has to do with the location of the driver. can anyone... (8 Replies)

I am trying to print a very large file on a HP 2012 printer, 100 pages a time. It worked initially, but now it does not print, it just hangs after the print command . I've tried rebooting both the printer and the computer to no avail.
