Hey.

I will add a config option in the UserCP so you can set this auto refresh timer to a higher value.

Honestly, I run this constantly and do not have a problem with the refresh; but I realize others may be on a slower connection or whatever and a 30 second refresh rate might be annoying.

I'll let you know when I have added the config option; but for now you will just have to suffer with it Smilie

Hey,

For now, I added an Option in the UserCP (Options: Other):

Mobile - Disable Auto Refresh

So you can simply disable this refresh completely if you find it annoying.

Please complain or post as much criticism as you can.

I'm a "big boy" and do not take it personally and in fact, I really like the feedback.

Having said that, there is no guarantee I will make a change based on the comment or suggestion; but I promise to read and consider the idea based on my development priorities.

Your feedback is much appreciated and thanks for the interest.

Honestly speaking, I owe the forums an apology for not working on this mobile prototype many years ago.

I stopped intense forum development a few years ago because my eyes were hurting from too much doing software development on my 13" MacBook Air.

Then, when starting a new project working on Unity3D game development for cybersecurity, a friend convinced me to get a 34" gaming monitor to ease the stress on the eyes.

Now, having completed the first phase of that cybersecurity project, I have this very amazing 34" monitor and it's very easy to work on the forums again.

So, I'm very happy now to update the forums and make them much better because of this single major tech purchase, a huge 34" gaming monitor.

Highly recommended... I cannot recommend it enough to anyone who gets tired looking a computer.

Funny you should say that. I'm just about to embark on a similar upgrade. I've never had any problems using a computer all day long (or any general eyesight issues for that matter) but at 67 I'm concerned it could now get worse. Added to that, in my new career, I'm now developing trading robots for the markets so need loads of windows open at once what with numerous charts, code, etc. Already have dual screens and need to go quad but question is how big they should be. Thanks for the advice.

Yep, tried that, works as advised. Great!

Thanks

I recommend this monitor for development:

ASUS ROG Swift Curved PG348Q Gaming Monitor - 34" 21:9 Ultra-wide QHD (3440x1440), overclockable 100Hz , G-SYNC™

https://www.asus.com/us/ROG-Republic-Of-Gamers/ROG-SWIFT-PG348Q/

This monitor is simply amazing for the money if you buy it on sale and it is a "game changer" when working on the computer. It's well worth the money.
