Where should I ask my question?

Hello, all

I found you folks by doing searches on
linux bash scripting
From time-to-time I'm hoping to get help from the experts here.

I'm technically competent enough with Windows to run my own Tech-Support business, but I am fairly lightwieght in Linux. Over the last 3-4 years I've tried several distros and finally settled on PCLinuxOS. I use it every day (for virtually all of my Internet surfing, downloading, etc.), but I still consider myself a rookie/newbie.

My first question - to all you folks who know this site well - is whether to post questions about Bash scripting in a Linux (sub) forum (there's no sub-forum for either PCLOS or "other") - or in the Scripting forum (which appears to focus on the Unix implementation of Bash).

Thank you in advance for all your help !!!

The best places I have found are this forum and the Usenet newsgroup comp.unix.shell.

Hi Tovian, welcome to these forums...

It is best to ask shell scripting questions in this forum:
Shell Programming and Scripting

If your questions are really basic you can also ask them in the
UNIX for Dummies Questions & Answers

The Linux forums are for Linux-specific questions..

This question itself does not belong here, so I'll move it to a proper forum..
