What is on Your Mind?

I have been working in application support at last 2 years. But I want to become unix administrator and I have basic knowledge in unix command, VI Editors, Unix file system. But I don't know proper procedure to become unix administrator, so could you please give suggestion and advise where I start from and what are all the concepts i need to be concentrated.

In my view, you should build a unix / linux application - a web app is good.

For example. do you have your own unix or linux server running at home?

Hi Gopal,

I think you can easily Google and find over a million (maybe 10 or more million) references to building web based applications in the unix and linux environment.

I just did that Google search and it came back with 15 million hits.

So, as far as career advice, I also would encourage you to do your homework before asking online in forums, which often means just simply searching with Google for answers before asking questions in forums ...
