Noob and Guru
A long time ago, my computer crashed, at that time, I was using Windows98, but
because I was a noob at computers, my friend recommended me apro to fix it for me.
He came, saw the computer, and asked if I had a backup/installation disk
for Windows 98. I said no.
He thought about it for a second, and asked me for the phone. Iwondered to
myself, "Why would you want a phone to fix a computer?".But he's to pro, so I
couldn't say anything, so I handed him the phone.
He connected the phone to the computer, and tapped into Dos. Then hejust
started hitting the 0 and 1 keys rapidly. I didn't know what hewas doing, and
was afraid to ask. I watched him for about half an hour,and he's still tapping
those 2 keys. As I started to get sleepy, Iasked him about how long it was
going to take, he said: "A couple ofhours". So I poured him a cup of tea, and
went into my bedroom andslept.
When I woke up, I realized that I've already slept for about 4 hours.I got
up, went into the room which my computer was in, and he wassetting
up/configuring Windows 98, after a while, he came out and said:"Go try it.", I
sat on my chair and tried it, and it worked perfectly,and since I still didn't
know anything about computers, I just thankedhim, then he left.
Down the line, as I start to accumulate knowledge about computers,
Irealized that he used the binary system to configure me a Windows 98OS. So I
went to my friend to see if the pro was still around, he saidthat he went to
the states, and was never heard from again.

needle. I didn't know what he wanted to do with them, but since he'sthe pro, I
gave them to him.
He started picking/tapping the dvd-r with the needle rapidly, but itwas
always shallow (*sorta pool reference here*), and deep. I didn'tknow what he
was doing, and was afraid to ask. I watched him for abouthalf an hour, and he
was still picking the dvd-r. As I started to getsleepy, I asked him about how
long it was going to take, he said: "Acouple of hours". So I poured him a cup
of tea, and went into mybedroom and slept.
When I woke up, I realized that I've already slept for about 4 hours.I got
up, went into the room which my computer was in, and he wassetting
up/configuring Windows XP, and he also installed MicrosoftOffice, Adobe
Photoshop, Thunder Networking (Chinese BT-er), World ofWarcraft, etc., after a
while, he came out and said: "Go try it.", Isat on my chair and tried it, and
it really worked, and since I stilldidn't know anything about computers, I
just thanked him, then he left.
As I began to understand computers more, I realized that he used toneedle
to create a Dual Layer DVD, and he wrote (*or burned with hishands, LMAO*) the
installations of Windows XP, Office, Photoshop,Thunder, Wow, etc., So I went
to my friend to see if the pro was stillaround, he said that he went to the
states, and was never heard fromagain.

Windows XP, but because I was a noob at computers, my friendrecommended me a
pro to restore it for me.
He came to see the computer, and asked if I had made a backup/Ghost of the
drive. I said no.
He thought about it for a second, and asked me for a magnet and whatI
originally had in D drive. I didn't know why he would want a magnetfor, but
since he's the pro, I gave it to him, and told him that it wasfull of episodes
of Naruto (*yay Calvin if you're reading this LOL*).
He took apart the hard drive, and started to draw circles, rapidly,around
it with the magnet. I didn't know what he was doing, and wasafraid to ask. I
watched him for about half an hour, and he was stilldrawing circles with the
magnet. As I started to get sleepy, I askedhim about how long it was going to
take, he said: "A couple of hours".So I poured him a cup of tea, and went into
my bedroom and slept.

up/configuring my D drive, which is now full of NarutoEpisodes, after a while,
he came out and said: "Go try it.", I sat onmy chair and tried it, and it was
all there, and since I still didn'tknow anything about computers, I just
thanked him, then he left.
As I began to knowledgable in the field of computers, I realized thathe
used to magnet, and his amazing memory to write on all the data ofthe episodes
on to my hard drive. So I went to my friend to see if thepro was still around,
he said that he went to the England/U.K., and wasnever heard from again.
