Any ideas on child-control program

My auntie told me that she has been suspecting that her little kids are looking at some "illegal" sites online. She put a free web blocker on the computer, but they might be finding loopholes. She wanna install some child-control program to see what's going on. There are so many since I searched for the child-control, such as Mac keylogger, keylogger for Mac, keylogger Mac, which makes me dazzled. Do you guys have the experience before? Btw, they are om Mac OS.

What does she mean by "illegal website"? You might go to a silly amount of work just to find out she overreacted to an error message of some sort...

The only surefire way is to not let them use the computer without supervision.

Create a seperate user account or browser profile for them to use and keep an eye on their browser history. If they start deleting browser history, using private browsing features, or you catch them doing something bad, take away their computer access.

I really like this - and that is how it should be. Just dont give them access if the elders cant spend time with the kids. It has become increasingly an alarming situation to give free access to computer, its not that they get into porn and other related sites even dangerous and active problem is that, many lay nets to trap young kids to abduct and sell them ... this is really an alarming problem .. its worth time spent by the parents/elders instead of feeling / repenting later

matrixmadhan brings up a good point. even if nothing bad happens to the children, they could easily be duped into installing malware that steals personal or financial information. This stolen info would likely lead to identity theft and/or stolen money.

It is not difficult to set up an account for children and use a bit of software to only permit access to "parental approved" web sites. I have a friend who did this and it worked well and was easy to set up. They simply created a restricted account on their computer that did not permit any software to be installed period (prevents the malicious code concern). and they installed some software (forgot the name, not expensive) that only permitted web access to approved sites. Of course, they could have set it up otherwise, and had a blacklist instead of a whitelist; but they wanted to be very restrictive.

This is easy to set up even with minimal computer skills.
