What Company Makes Your Mobile Phone?

Without getting into the exact models (which change all the time anyway), who makes your (primary) mobile phone?

No and I can live fine this way so far. I had one in my former company and people usually tend to call for every crap every time and everywhere.
I only have one when I have call-in-duty for my company or I take one with me (turned off of course Smilie) when I go on a trip on the road in case the car has a problem. This one is a robust design and works as a phone - all I ever need. For notices I take old paper and pencil or a simple text file on my workstation.

For me those devices are still just phones. I get no joy as toys out of them, nor do I like when those young to mid teens run around like zombies non-stop chit-chatting, typing sms and such (I know there are older ages doing that too, but not that massed from what I saw). Companies lure out money of the children's pockets for stupid ring tones and logos. TV is full of mindless comercials for these. There is already too much commercial on TV as if we would have needed those too. That's why I rarely watch TV at all since the last 10-15 years. Only a DVD/Blue-Ray sometimes or ARTE or 3sat (the europeans here might know).
I also dislike when people get phone calls in a restaurant, in the bus and talk as if they had to yell because the other person is so far away... Or in the supermarket arguing with someone what to buy or not.. etc. Once there were simple buying lists on paper written with pencil and flexibility was a talent the one that used the list should have or not. Everything is multi-media today. This is way too much in my eyes - often rude and very decadent.
I also know and accept there is people that really need them for their job, for reading mails or as calendar. But I think there is far too much hype around those things, especially those damn expensive iPhones etc. which is just a toy, a status thingy.

Some time after I disliked the overuse of such devices especially by people that do not care about their surroundings as described above, I saw a documentation on TV about how this mobile-mania effects nature and people:
Coltan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Yes, I know there is plenty of such things in life where we have a bad effect on nature (we are just part of it but most people do not understand that anymore I feel). But at least this is one is easy for me to evade.

... basically I lied, as you see in the 1st lines above (the one I take with me when in car). I possess a mobile but I less than rarely ever use it - maybe summed up less than 10 mins in a year, no joke. This one I have for about 2 years now only cause my brother's office was selling them for low price and is a robust outdoor model and it was cheap.
People around me change their moblies cause of some subsidised contracts giving them a new one piling the old models in some drawer. I'll stay with my robust one until it dies. And if do not really need one at this time, I will not get a new one. Btw. I handle my car(s) the same and go well with it Smilie Most other germans I know have a new car every 3-4 years (The car - the germans most loved child Smilie). I do not share their view^^. We are back to the iPhone-status thingy at this point hehe.

I am totally addicted to smart phones currently with a Nokia E63 and an old E61 as a backup. The latest version of Google Maps has voice-based search. Very cool. I was driving in Bangkok the other day and said "Indian Food" and it was fun watching the various places for Indian food pop up on my map.
