main role is HP-UX and Linux administrator.
secondary role is Solaris apache server admin, Netbackup admin and SAN admin.

ISA I'll be always to the end UNIX/UNIX Like System Administrator as a core skill of mine I see myself worthless in other aspects.

Just starting a videography company, you would be surprised how many people seem to wait till your charging to take you up on your offer to make them a video. I understand, when ever someone uses the word "free" it tends makes you wonder what's wrong with it.

I run a small home-based computer repair business and specialise in linux desktops and servers. Currently selling a lot of Ubuntu PCs! Also studying information systems at the local university, learning about Java and Oracle Database programming.

System administrator ,HPUX primary, also Linux, Solaris and a bit AIX.
I also handle apps like IBM MQ, IBM WAS, Tomcat HA configurations and such.

Database-wise i have basic Oracle and DB2 knowledge.

IMHO, a great choice for work, constantly growing and learning.
Boredom is not a word in this occupation Smilie

I'm actually a full-time student at the University of Minnesota, studying for a B.A.S. in IT-Infrastructure. It's great because all the computers at school run Ubuntu!

Starting over, making a living with linux?

I really like to use linux, although I freely admit I don't know squat about it. I can install it, update it and get it to most of what I would like it to do, up to running some windows apps on it. I am going back so to school starting on the 25th, with a declared major of Information... (1 Reply)
