Control Panel seeking.

Hi, guys. My friends and I used to rent space from our ISP, and they applied Cpanel to help us to config. Recently we just upgrade to the dedicated server plan, and there is nothing but only the os has been installed. Since Cpanel is the commercial software, we cannot afford it, we need to find a free control panel instead. Anyone knows any free control panel? Please give me a hint, thanx.

well it is always better to do things by hand from the command line, but if you want to be lazy then you can use webmin --> www.webmin.com
its actually a great program, but dont think that you will be able to avoid doing things from the command line, and after learning how to do that you might end up hating things like webmin because it takes away your control from the actually configuration. i dont mean it will do it wrong, i mean that with tools like these it is often happens that it might generate bad configuration files and what have you.... remember its always better to do it from the command line.
