Putting pC on network

How do I put a my PC with linux 7.0 on a class B network.

Can someone give me info or text that will guide me?

Go visit your network system administrator and ask them for permission to put the PC on the company (or organizational) network and assign you an IP address, subnet mask and default gateway.
