Making an alias permanent

Hi mates, I want to make an alias permanent for a KShell, does someone knows how to do that?

edit the .profile file in your home directory. Add the command line for your alias there.

Thanks for your relpy mate but I got this error:

ksh: myalias:  not found

The line I added to the .profile is:

alias myalias="ls -lrt"

My default shell is ksh, any suggestions?

You have to source the .profile file with a dot space .profile:

. .profile

This happens when you login -- automatically.
