Question logging question

Does anyone know if there is any logging of events by the system when running a solaris server? What I'm specifically looking for is to see why a shell stopped. Thanks!

I'm not sure if this applies to all Unix systems, but check directory /var/adm and see if there is are files called - syslog / messages / debug. They might be able to shed some light on your problem.
