Redirecting output file to a different server.
Hi,
I hope this is problem makes sense and that someone can offer some advice.

Basically i have a perl script which accesses a database and outputs the information to a file.
Is it possible to use a 'system' command to embeb some Unix command which moves that file to another directory residing on a different server.
Note: Working on Sun Solaris box

To make things clearer i hope....
perlscript 'P' (resides on server A) creates a file 'X' (still on server A) -> wish to move 'X' to server B.
All this takes place within the perlscript 'P'.

Can you write the information to a file on server A, then ftp the file to server B and delete from A?

well 1 of 3 ways i can think of that are the most common.

if it is another unix box u want to send the file to try:

nfs OR ftp

if it is a windows machine you want you can try samba.
