Learning Sun Solaris8
Hi there,
Posting first time-really liked the site..but may be this has been asked before also-can someone tell me or may be give me the link what exactly I need to download from Sun inorder to learn the Solaris8 operating system. I have the books but still would like to see the environment and can we practise the commands in there.....please help.......

You can download Solaris 8 for Intel. That would be your best bet if you don't have a SPARC machine.

BUT

If you don't want to download and install Soalris you can get a shell. To find out where a good shell can be found do a search on google.

OR

You can install Linux. Ok it's not Solaris but it's still nice and most the commands are the same.
