semopm how to change it?

Hi guys. I tried :

echo 100 > /proc/sys/kernel/semopm

but got error no such a fileSmilie

What are you trying to do, do something with max semaphores number ? What is the OS, are you root ? Shed some more light.

echo "250 32000 100 128"> /proc/sys/kernel/sem

I am on RHEL 4 for pc. I am doing this for Oracle 10 g installation.

I've did about 5

echo "something" > /proc/.....

How can I make my changes applied? I restarted oracle installation and oracle universal installer but it sees old settingsSmilie

You may have to execute the following command so that the changes that you have made take into effect.

sysctl -p

i beleive that you must have made some changes in sysctl as during oracle Installation we have to change some kernel and network level parameters.
