Java Nagios Alerts Issue

Hi,

I had installed Nagios on RHEL5.0 for Server Monitoring and configured the email alerts.
Presently i am able to get the alerts of the c drive space, ftp, http services,
But when the host goes down I dont get any alert saying that the Host is down or Host is Up.
Request you to please help me if any one has faced this problem in nagios.

Regards
Arun

Are you able to see the DOWN status on the web interface when the host goes down? There can many places where you need to look, depending on your configuration, but just quickly check the host definition of the host (and any host template you have defined) for the following two parameters:

Code:
check_command	check-host-alive
notifications_enabled	1

Java

I am able to see the logs nagios.log file ,saying that the host is down or the host is up and the web site is getting updated accordingly.

Only the alert is not coming when the host goes down or host comes up.

Regards
Arun

I suggested two variables in my previous reply. Please verify what is the value for these two variables in your case. Also if you reply further, please post the host definition for the concerned host and any host template you are using.
