Network Cdrom Problem!!!

Hi everybody:
I have Solaris 8 installed on my little Enterprise 3500 and, for a cruel fate of the destiny, Im the admin....
Here is the problem: a week ago I took out a CD from the CDROM drive in an abnormal way.
I inserted a clip in the little hole in the front of the drive because the button doesnt work.

Now when I cd to /cdrom appears the old volume name of the CD that is not mounted anymore, and if I put a new CD nothing happens. When I try to unmount it says that is not mounted.

I think its something with the automount feature on Solaris, but I dont know how to fix-it.

If you now, PLEASE, enlighten me with your knoledge.. (is it ok, "enlighten" ?,Im Spanish..)

Have you tried 'eject cdrom' ?

It's a SCSI Drive, but WAIT!!!!! I solve the problem... I call the guy who gave me the CD, I mounted it and the eject it and ...voila!!

However, it would be nice to know how to fix this if you cannot put the CD.

Thanx to all

I put in a cd, waited till automount found it, did a ls on /cdrom and got the directory structure. I then put the paperclip in the hole - /cdrom still listed the information. I then did a eject cdrom and it was reset as far as knowing that the cd was no longer there. But this is awful hard on your cdrom drive and cd!
