rm is not working
I want to remove the contents of a directory on my unix system without it prompting me to verify the deletion of each individual file, this is a scenario of what happens:

> rm -rf projects/*
rm: examine files in directory projects/stp_highPriority (yes/no)? y
rm: examine files in directory projects/stp_highPriority/output (yes/no)? y
rm: remove projects/stp_highPriority/output/ffm_ground_intf.h.err (yes/no)?

I thought the 'f' flag would make it so these questions wouldn't pop up, and its extremely time consuming to delete a large folder. Any ideas?

i) Which OS?
ii) Is there any file in projects which is like a flag? (some unixoid OS have non-escaping expansions)

The OS is Solaris and I have this problem with any files I create.

Solaris is among those OS whose command line tools do not escape correctly (by GNU means).

OK, let's figure out why it asks. What does "ls -ld projects projects/stp_highPriority" say?

You may have a alias for the rm command in you profile file which is forcing
you for an interactive remove. You can try:

\rm -rf projects

SSH: internal working but external not working
