I can't seem to find 7.1 Eval anywhere. All the links (i tried 20 of em) are invalid. Even the ones on their site. Did they take this eval down for any reason (bugs, security risks). Also, is there any versions of Linux that you can burn a CD and run it directly from the CD without having to install it on a computer?

Many thanks,

Alski

I am currently reading a book called The Linux Companion by Christopher Lynas. It's a really usefull book that you can probably get from any library plus it has the evaluation version of SUSE on disk in the back of the book, you can run it directly from disk if needed.

[/B]

Slackware Linux used to provide an install that would run directly from the CD. But I can't tell you whether it supported with new releases. Some earlier versions of Red Hat Linux also supported to run Linux directly from CD.
