Data Add Disclaimer in the mail automatically

Hi All,

I have been given a task for adding a disclaimer automatically for all our outgoing emails from our unix machine.

Is there any config file so that the disclaimer will be added into all emails instead of using a script to send the email with the disclaimer?

Pls help
Thank you!

If you have pine on your Unix machine, you can use the pine's signature and add the disclaimer.
Some people use their signature to add a disclaimer to their mail, stating that the opinions included are their own and not their employer's.

use pico to create a signature (.signature) and add it on your pine
When you send mail, the text you typed in the ".signature" file added to the end of the message(also a type of disclaimer)

killerserv,

Thanks for helping me!

In our unix machine, there isn't any email editor. We all use the default command 'mail' to send the email manually or in some 4GL programs. If we create a new email script, and replace the old command 'mail'. This will cost us much time.

Is there any other solution?

You don't mention what the OS is or what mail software you are using. If it is Sendmail, then take a look at this from the Sendmail.org FAQ.

Sorry that i havent mentioned the OS at the beginning! We are using the Digital Unix 4.0.F and the default bundled mailing utility. I think that we are using the sendmail since there is no other mailing command as we know. They are mail and Mail.
