Data Triple Boot Machine

I'm in a predicament right now! I have RedHat 7.2 ,Debian 2.2r5 ,and Windows ME. I am currently in a Sun Solaris 8 class and will soon acquire a copy of Solaris 8. I would like to start a small home network ,but 4 pc's for the house would be a little too expensive for me right now. What I was thinking ,was to buy a laptop and put Debian ,Red Hat ,and Windows on that and reformatting my home pc to run Sun as the server. However ,I understand that Sun has some issues when running on a x86 Intel based box. Plus ,Debian would be hard to configure on a laptop. Are there inexpensive Sun SPARC boxes out there? If so ,where?!!! What would you do.....?!!!

go to ebay.com and do a search for "solaris." a lot of people/companies have sun boxes for sale that are very affordable for home. I picked up a Sun ultra 60 for less that $500.

hope this helps.

Java

I know several people who run Solaris 8 on pc's with no problems. In fact I've heard of a few that run Solaris 8 on laptops. Of course this is just a money saving suggestion, so If you have the cash, go for the Sparc.
