Take a gander at http://sektor7.ath.cx:8080/openroot/.

I haven't used it in a long time, but this was root access inside a jailed process running FreeBSD that allowed the user to peform basic admin duties and experimentation.

Shellyeah is shutting down (or is it already down?).
I am pretty sure sdf.lonestar.org (freeshell.org) is still going though.
