ifconfig and ipconfig

hey,
I know that ifconfig on linux systems is identical to win ipconfig.
I wanted to know if there is a linux distribution (new or old) that uses the ipconfig command.

thanks alot Smilie

You answered by yourself: ifconfig is for Linux/Unix, ipconfig is for Windows!

So you will never find ipconfig on any Linux distribution (and we really don't need it!)

And, by the way, ifconfig serves the same purposes of ipconfig but it is not identical to ipconfig. Have a look to the man page.

use ipconfig for windows and ifconfig for linux/unix.
You knew it.
