UNIX for Dummies Questions & Answers

Ok i get and install linux mandrake 8 but the first time i install it there was a problem whith the disk 2 so the second time i installed only the software on disk one and i thought i'll install the other manually but the only way to install the second disk was to install all the rpm files one by one but there are about 400 files rpm.Is there another way to install all in one hand?I dont'k know how to make an image of the disk 2 ont the software manager.

Do you find any scratches or any sort of sirt stains on the 2nd Disc? i encounter the same problem when i installed it at the first. At first i thought the DISC spoiled. But who knows some stains caused thenstallation problem. I recieved some RPM's unable to be executed by the Python code. With some debugging source code appear. Try to install again make sure no stains over the CD that will help.
