installing release 6.2. from a cd

Hey, all
My intention was to install a curent release in a PC and start learning unix/freebsd.
I downloaded all the iso-images from the release 6.2., burned them with nero6 and now cannot make the PC to notice any of them when booting.
It just starts win-xp although its bios boot priority is set to cdrom.
Do you know any way to persuade the stubborn box, please?

How did you burn the disks? I don't have nero in front of me but you need to use "burn image" from one of the menus. I think it is the third or fourth menu from the left and about 2/3 of the way down the list of items.

in nero (not express editon)
press cancel on the first popup window
go to file
then open the iso file of the first cd of the freebsd package.
burn it this way.
(DO NOT move the iso file to the cd as then you only have a cd with a iso file on it ...)
and let it boot fromt he first cd then you can install freebsd trough the menu's it gives you.

Dear reborg, dear jurrien

Thanks a lot. You are right. I had burned the disks without choosing the right category in nero 6 and got copies of iso-images.
Following your instructions I've obtained working installation disk and the second one.

much obliged, yours`
