Question How to make you linux server for telnet????

I have RH7.2 OS and I want my freinds to login my sys I have TCP/IP connection ppp and I know my IP also I know this ppp-18-21.cyberia.net.... I want my freinds to use Telnet How to configure it plz Help files PDF ...my freinds has ppp and LAN .......configuration for telnet also my Host is localhost.localdomain ....

anotheer Q Is sendmail is a client only?????? in RH7.2

Stay away from telnet. telnetd has a lot of known problems. You should use the latest and greatest sshd from RedHat.

RedHat is a secure way for people to access your machine without the security concerns.

sshd what is that ???

Is it only for linux

sshd is a useful unix utility that provides either public key or password authenticated secure connections between servers - replacing rsh/rcp for unix servers. Not only Linux but some of the unix variants also deploy them. I have checked Cygnus (Cygwin) also having it.

sshd (The secure shell daemon) should be included with your installation media, and may in fact already be installed. Check:
whereis sshd

If not, check your install disks, in one of the RPMS directory.
