Question

Anyone would know how to get rid off a message that comes up during a boot-up on Solaris? It says that the clusters for this software are not installed. I deleted the software because it was crashing some other stuff but it did not get rid off all the stuff.
Yes, I am coming from windows and so to learn about Unix I compare it to windows some way where is registry to look for stuff like that. Where do I find that on Unix and so how would I get rid off message like that?
Thank you, George

Examine all "S" files in /etc/rc2.d and /etc/rc3.d. Any file that's related to your uninstalled program should be renamed or deleted(if you rename file, be sure the new names don't start with "S").

Hope this will help you Smilie

Bug sure it did help

I examined the dates and found all the links associated with that file and it was right there.
Thank you, George
