Deleting the files in a loop

We have alias set in our profile . forcing rm= 'rm -i' . And we are not allowed to modify the profile....

I have a directory in which i need to delete around 100 files + .

but if use rm ... I am prompted before deleting because of alias set....

Any workaround would help...

execute rm with its full path with -f option
shell$ /bin/rm -f file* ;or /usr/bin/rm -f file*

it will bypass the alias Smilie

or (assuming rm -i is an alias, not function):

\rm <pattern>
