unix begginers

hi im a unix system beginner

i would like to write a script that will run as follows

1 it will read all process including what they are doing
2 it will list all the processes that were idle or not consuming space in the VMSTAT command like in the cpu or memory coloum so i can kill those processes.

hope you can help me thnks

cause there an alarm in in mail said that vmstat and i use the command and i see the msg and i go o ps -ef and saw a lot of proceses i dont know which proceses usually in idle or just a process not terminated when user log out..is that possible..

Is that wise, especially if you don't actually understand what their function is?

u should not kill a process even if it don't consumes memory or cpu time! there are many sleeping processes in an unix server environmet...

ah.. i see..how about the processes that still running or sleeping like the -csh in which the user has been already logout..or the processes still running but the user who run that processes already logout...
