If you are using Legato's Networker backup software there is a web page that you can use to answer question.
http://web1.legato.com/tech_dialog/main_lefaq.html

The error is usually that there are no more tapes in the Default pool. If there is an empty slot in your jukebox, add a blank tape, and add it to the pool (via the inventory - inventory just the one slot to save time)

If you are using a different product - please provide info.
