Dual Boot help...
Hi there!
I have a laptop which I plan on installing a dual boot on with Windows and Linux. I have Windows 98 installed at the moment, and I also have a copy of Slackware 8.

I talked to friend, and he said he had some problems installing a dual boot with linux on his laptop... So I just came here to get some suggestions on what to look out for in the process, cause I don't wanna screw things up!

You may try to use partition magic from PowerQuest, its really work. Also to say they have Bootmagic installed in, with that small thing u can switch between 2 diffrent OS at the Boot up time. The downloadable version is available in the Net but i personnaly suggest you to buy the CD. Try it its really work for me. I use Red hat and Win2K Server dual boot using Powerquest software ( Boot Magic )..

I believe Slackware 8 still uses lilo (LInux LOader). Lilo is easy and powerfull... you can check out www.linuxdocs.org for more specific instructions, or search the forums... you could have found a post like this one:
