what should i start-unix or linux
actually m interested in learning unix/linux. should i go for unix or linux and from where will i get the software for these. anyone knowing please help me.

Solaris is a UNIX variant and a complete operating system in itself. See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solaris_Operating_System for more details.

can u tell me "will i be able to install it with windows on separate disc". what space will it occupy.

I think and believe that i could start both the two OS from HardDisk until i installed Turbo Linux after the SCO unix .
