Display Directory Size - DF?

How can I display the size of a directory and contents witin a directory

df only gives me the mounts

Try using du
# 3

try this

du -hs directoryname

that will give you the total size of the directory
# 4  
Old 01-11-2007
Try "df -hl . " instead. Remember the '.' is the working directory you are in.
hl will gives you output in mb.
