My server has only has access logs turned on. How do I turn on the other standard logs (i.e. I'd like to see the referring urls).

Thanks in advance.

Seems like an Web Server issue per your post. Are you using APACHE?

Yes I'm using APACHE.

I'm trying to change the standard logs to include referrers.

Thanks for your time.

There is on-line documentation with step-by-step instructions on setting up referral logging at:

http://www.apache.org/

We followed these instructions (use the latest release!)
and it worked fine. There was a change in the way this was
done from past versions and does cause some people, including us, problems when upgrading.

Suggest you follow-up with Apache and their forums which
are Apache-specific.
